Welcome to Teg's Buns
Teg grew up on a farm in North Wales, and every Saturday, he would watch his mum bake using ingredients from the garden or foraged from the local forests and fields. As he grew older, he would eventually be able to join in, and there began his love for baking and cooking.
As an adult, Teg was able to travel around the world and experience a wide variety of foods. This helped him appreciate that there are many sources of ingredients that his mum would never have dreamed of.
In 2007, he moved to the USA to get married and, while in Cohasset, Massachusetts, decided to set up Teg's Buns. The choice of name was a fun play on words; buns in the UK have a very different meaning from buns in the USA. He could not resist adding the tagline, "You know you want to bite them. "
Eventually, after moving to Westport Island, Maine , he decided to take things a step further and began baking for family, friends, and locals. As a full-time Hannaford employee, he limits the baking to requests only so that he can better manage his time.
